Office Visits

Your First Visit

Achieving a healthy, stunning smile starts with an initial consultation here at Mehan and Johnson Orthodontics. Your first appointment is all about you – your smile goals, concerns, and preferences. We will take our time to listen and answer any questions you might have.

During your first visit, Dr. Mehan or Dr. Johnson III will do a comprehensive examination of your teeth and jaws, take necessary x-rays, and complete a digital scan of your teeth to have a bigger picture of your case.

After assessing all these diagnostic records, we will create a customized treatment plan to help you achieve the best possible outcome for your smile. You will never feel rushed! We will discuss all possible treatment options so that you can make an informed decision for your treatment. This is also the best time to discuss costs, payment plans, and insurance options.

Once you’re happy with the treatment plan and cost, we will help you book your next appointment – installation of your braces or first day with Invisalign® aligners!

Scheduling Appointments

Regular trips to our office are essential to ensure your treatment is advancing how it should be. Typically, you should visit our office every 4 to 8 weeks, and it really depends on your unique circumstances, treatment type, and smile goals.

We will work with you to ensure that your or your child’s appointments are as convenient as possible to avoid missing work or school days. Our friendly scheduling coordinator will be happy to assist you. Just let us know what days and times work best for you.
